Smokey is feral and available for virtual adoption (sponsorship) only. Smokey was rescued from being killed by the Navy. He was part of a colony being taken care by a woman over by the commissary. Most of the cats there are abandoned by military personnel living on base. Periodically the Navy traps and takes the cats to the pound to be exterminated. Unfortunately, the Navy refuses to hold their own personnel accountable and it's an endless cycle. An eye infection caused scarring on his eye, but he can still see and it doesn't bother him. Smokey is very laid back around other cats. He's an easy kitty to care for. Smokey is very feral and won't ever be adoptable. But that's ok. He's cared for and has a safe space to hangout outside or in.
