About Panther

  • General Color: Black
  • Current Age: 8 Years 2 Months (best estimate)
  • Housetrained: Yes

Panther is a massive fuzz bomb!  He's a sweet teddy bear of a cat that loves to be loved on and scritched.  Not so much a lap cat as a sit-next-to-you-and-hang-out cat.  The kind of cat that likes to hang on the couch and watch movies with you.  We believe he's a Maine Coon/Persian mix.  His sister (or mom?) was a Persian.  He doesn't have the squished Persian nose, but they looked very similar otherwise.  Panther's got the kind of long hair that doesn't get matted, unlike his sister.  Brushing is certainly a good idea with this kind of fur.  He came to us from a dog hoarder who had 62 dogs under 12 lbs, 10 cats, and 20 pygmy goats.  Panther is a little shy at first, but doesn't take too long to warm up to new people.  He will need an adopter who is willing to give him the time and attention needed for him to feel comfortable in his new home.  He's a super cat!  And soooooo handsome!  Photos do not do him justice!

Panther's adoption fee is $55.00 which includes up-to-date shots, feline leukemia (FeLV) test (negative) and neuter surgery that is already done.  He is litterbox trained and does not spray.  Panther has lived with dogs in the past and would probably adjust to dogs again.  He's ok with other cats, but sometimes likes to be the alpha cat.  He would be fine as an only cat.  Panther most likely will stay away from young kids in the house.  We're sure he would enjoy older kids that would interact with him calmly.

Prior to meeting or adopting any of our wonderful kitties, we ask that you please fill out our online Cat Adoption Application on our website  There is a link on the top of the home page. Click on "Fill in", you don't have to register.  For more information about this kitty or any others, you can contact us at or 850-377-2132.  We are a foster organization and don't have set hours we are open - but we will gladly set up an appointment for you to meet any cat.  Of course, you're under no obligation to adopt if you come to meet any of our fabulous felines.
